Belize
is a small country in Central America, on the Caribbean coast, which
is very popular with tourists around the world. Capital is the small
town of Belmopan.
Culture of Belize goes back to the origins of civilization of the Maya.
The most important centers of the Maya are Shunantuniche - on the border
with Guatemala, Altun Ha - the image of these ruins is present on the labels
of the local beer “Belikin”, Lubaantum, El Pilar Caracol in
the deep jungle. Traveling here is exciting and challenging. This Caribbean place is famous for gold and silver that attracted Europeans. Now tourism
is developed greatly in this small country. Local people are very friendly,
sociable and helpful. We were pleased with our Belize travel package and
this country left good memories in my mind.
I’d like to say a few words about local shops. We went shopping to
buy some very interesting souvenirs, accessories, and jewelry that were
sold in local boutiques. We have many friends and relatives in America
so we need gifts for all of them. Of course, we took pictures of ourselves
in picturesque places as well as all kinds of fish and other inhabitants
in the sea world. We visited marvelous picture gallery as well. We admired
with spectacular sights, listened to nice music and so on in the island.
The temperature was hot and all people were wearing open dresses. The sea
breeze made hot weather unnoticeable and pleasant. The most attractive
were coral reefs, which were vivid red, brown and orange, like trees in
the autumn. We are crazy about those reefs.
Beliz is a place of waterfalls and tropical cloud-forests, gardens, occupied
by endangered species of birds, plants, and animals, some never seen anywhere
else in the world. Botanical Gardens and Park Gardens, and museums are
amazing. Lots of ancient things are presented there. Of course, we bought
souvenirs and other gifts for our relatives and friends.
Beliz is a center of sailing, scuba diving, jet skiing, parasailing, and
fishing. It’s unforgettable place for traveling.
